This class is for students who speak very little English. Our goal is to help students become familiar with many basic English words and phrases using fun games and activities.
Teachers: Kathy Deicher, Elizabeth Goodrich, Rachel Cutts, Suzie Jones
Our Intermediate English class will take your English skills to the next level. We will build your vocabulary and improve your confidence in speaking with friends, teachers, doctors, salespeople, and others. We will chat in small groups, play games, share stories, and act out role-play scenarios.
Teacher: Elizabeth Clapp
This class is for students who already speak English very well. We will work on finer points of grammar, and we will utilize that knowledge in spoken English. This is more of a personal tutoring class; therefore, the class is limited to 4 women.
Teachers: Debbie Hallock, Carol Iddings, Nancy Isaacs
This class is for students who have studied English for several years and can converse in English but want to improve their grammar and conversation skills. This class is limited to 15 women.

Teachers: Sue Chan, Patricia Brabon
This is an intermediate Spanish class using the book 15-Minute Spanish (ISBN 978-0-7440-7372-0). It includes a free audio app for help with pronunciation. Emphasis is on vocabulary and phrases useful for travel, shopping and restaurants. We will also learn some essential verbs and grammar.

The choir class at Friendship will be a wonderful opportunity to make music together. We will
learn about the voice, about the basics of music and singing, and we will learn several selections to share with the larger Friendship gathering. Come join us this fall in the joy of singing in a choir! This class is limited to 22 women.

Stories. We would love to hear yours! We, as followers of Jesus, welcome you to our table for open conversation while enjoying a cup of hot coffee or tea. Our table is a safe place to share whatever may be on your heart and mind, regardless of world view. Your stories are important to us because you are important to us. This class is limited to 12 women.

In this class, you will make friends as you learn various games played in American homes. There will be opportunities for our international women to teach a game from their home country too. This class is limited to 16 women.

Teacher: Judy Metcalf
This is a one-semester class designed to help those who have lived in the Lexington area for fewer than two years. Do you want to know more about American customs and holidays? Health care in the U.S.? Tips for buying groceries? Things to do in Kentucky and places you may want to travel to while you’re here? Please join us! We want to learn about you and your culture too. Plus, this is a great class to practice your English. This class is limited to 12.

Both beginner and advanced painters will enjoy expanding their creativity and acrylic painting skills. Each week we plan to complete a painting of the current holiday or season. Most of all, we look forward to new friendships. All supplies will be provided. The class is limited to 10 women.

Teacher: Lisa Baker
Join us for a fun, hands-on paper crafting class! We will create a variety of handmade projects including greeting cards, paper flowers, layered cut-outs, decor, and more. Come learn new techniques, get creative, and make new friends while enjoying the fun of crafting together.
The class is limited to 8 women.

Teachers: Diane Hodge
Personal Projects is a fun, relaxed class focused on creativity and building friendships. In the past, we’ve made greeting cards, counted cross-stitch, crocheted, explored quilling, and enjoyed many other crafts. Bring your own project and new ideas to share. We will encourage one another, exchange tips, learn together, and have fun creating!
This class is limited to 16 women.

Teacher: Kim Nelson
Join our new Tai Chi class to build strength and balance. We will follow a guided video session from an expert online instructor. You will learn slow, gentle movements that reduce stress and improve your posture at your own pace. No prior experience is needed, so dress comfortably and come move with us. This class is limited to 10 women.
